The Meaning of Life

Albert Camus, author and philosophor, says, “You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.” Joseph Campbell says, “Life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer.” How men define life and how God defines life are two completely different ideas. Man's meaning is often possessions. Life is measured by what we are able to obtain. God's idea of life is something we can never obtain by ourselves. God provided what we need in the form of sacrifice. This sacrifice is like the manna from heaven that God provided for the children of Israel. They were hungry and God provided. We are born hungry and God provides the Bread of Life in Jesus Christ for us. So what is the meaning of life? Jesus Christ.
